Is SOUNDTRIP free?
Listening, the globe tuner, passport stamps and listening postcards are free, and the web player needs no sign-up. The free app keeps up to 20 favorites and may show ads; the planned Premium plan adds unlimited favorites, folders and an ad-free experience. It is not on sale yet.
Where do the stations come from?
The directory comes from the community-run Radio-Browser, and streams are served by each station itself. If a name, location or category is wrong, tell us on the Contact page.
Why won't some stations connect?
Each station runs its own stream, which can go offline or change address. The app automatically switches to another station in the same country, and you can pick your own on the globe. Browsers only allow https audio on secure pages, so the web player offers fewer stations than the app.
Web player vs. the app?
The web player focuses on globe tuning and playback — open and listen. The app adds passport stamps, listening postcards, favorites and folders, lock-screen and notification now-playing, a sleep timer and cloud sync.
有 iPhone 版嗎？Is there an iPhone version?
We are building Android and the web player first. iPhone users can use the web player in Safari or Chrome for now; platform plans will be announced here.
Do you collect my location?
Only when you tap “My location” and grant permission does the app read your approximate location on your phone to center the globe near you. It is never uploaded to our servers, and you can revoke it any time.
When does the app launch on Google Play?
The app is in closed testing and is planned for Google Play soon. Email us from the Contact page to be notified; the store link will appear here once it is live.
Are the recommendation cards ads?
Some cards are affiliate links, marked “Affiliate”. You pay the same price and we may earn a commission that covers servers and development. See the disclosure page; in the app you can turn them off under Settings › Travel & picks.
